This is my personal favourite of all the songs I've ever written - and if you wondered whether artists listen to their own songs: yes, we do. iTunes tells me this is my most-played track ever. I guess it's because it means so much to me. Nadia was my best friend in 2008, my final year of school (hence both halves of the title). She wasn't my girlfriend, and though the song reads like a break-up song, it technically isn't. Still, it was the same kind of story, as she drifted and gave nothing to a friendship I gave everything to keep alive. Frustrated and dejected a few years later, I penned this song.
