about

I don't really celebrate Christmas. Romans 14:5 says "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind." However, it saddens me that what is meant to be a celebration of the birth of the greatest man to ever live, and the Saviour of the human race, has been turned into a commercialised holiday where presents and Santa Claus are more important than Christ. I wrote this song to remind people why we call it Christmas, and that if we celebrate it, we celebrate it for Jesus.

lyrics

One more year
Here we are
And we've made it through
And can you believe
After all
That I'm here with you
I feel warm inside
Though I guess
Here it never snows
And I feel alive
So do you
And it shows

So let's go back to two thousand years ago
Someone loved you more than you'll ever know
Leaving behind all the stars in the sky
Born on earth just to die for you
Today's the day that we take time to celebrate
That starry night that forever changed our fate
So take my hand and hold on tight
As we celebrate
With the Christmas lights

So we rejoice
Under grace
And the mistletoe
The December sun
Lights your face
Like a year ago
And when sunset comes
Go inside
'Cause I'll be there too
And I know this year
My Christmas gift
Is you

And I know this world would change what this night means to you and me
But tonight I remember why I'm free
